Mr. Staluppi founded Atlantic in 1972 He has developed and executed an expansion plan, which has created the preeminent provider of vehicles on Long Island. Since its founding, Mr. Staluppi has overseen the acquisition and disposition of numerous dealers and has owned as many as 35 dealerships at one time. He is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Company as well as over seeing its execution.
Like many of the other successful leaders in the automotive industry, John Pickett grew up in the car business. Even while he was still attending classes and playing baseball and football at Bethpage High School, he still found time to hold part-time and summer jobs cleaning cars and sweeping floors at car dealerships owned by John Staluppi.
After high school, John Pickett realized the car business was in his blood. He spent time in the parts and service operations at a south shore Long Island AMC-Jeep dealership and was soon learning the art of selling cars on the showroom floor of an Oldsmobile dealership in what is now the Atlantic Auto Mall in West Islip. Before too long it became clear that John was destined to become a prominent leader in the Long Island auto industry as he quickly climbed the management ladder from finance manager to general sales manager to general manager at various locations in the Staluppi organization.
In 2007, John Pickett and Michael Brown became owner/partners in the Atlantic Auto Group as they saw their organization almost double in size to the current 22 franchise operations. Honored with some the most prestigious awards from manufacturers and automotive consultants, John is one of the most respected voices for the auto industry in the U.S. As partners with John Staluppi, JP and Michael Brown continuously work toward excellence and success with frequent innovations and implementations of state of the art process and metrics.
John Pickett remembers his Long Island roots, the people he worked with and learned from on his road to success. He offers continual support to local charities such as Make-a-Wish, numerous hospitals, Big Brothers and Sisters, and the American Diabetes Association.
"Michael and I were born and raised on Long Island, "said John Pickett from his executive office in West Islip. "We live here, we are on the sports fields with our customers and kids, we go to the same restaurants, worship in the same churches. We 'get' what it is to be a Long Islander and we understand the needs of our customers."
John Pickett lives in a home he recently built in the Syosset area. He and, Kimberly, his wife of 22 years, have three children. During the rare moments when he is not working, John enjoys boating, skiing, gym work outs, hunting, and fishing.
Atlantic Auto Group Partner/Owner Michael Brown grew up in the car business, washing cars, running errands for his father's Jaguar-Porsche dealership in Huntington on weekends vacations from school. After attending Huntington High School, he graduated from Boston University with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in business. He lettered in football for four years for BU's Division 1AA Football team and played a couple of years as a professional in the Arena Football League before returning to Long Island to run his dad's Jaguar-Porsche stores. Michael also is a graduate of the National Auto Dealers Association Dealer Candidate Training Program.
From 1997 to 1999, Michael Brown was the President of Sportique Jaguar-Porsche. After Sportique was sold to the Marubeni Corporation-one of the largest Japanese trading companies in the world--he stayed on to run those stores for two more years. The Jaguar factory awarded Michael an open Jaguar point in Southampton, NY which finished number-one in national customer satisfaction in 2001. Also during that time, his Jaguar stores won the "Pride of Jaguar" and Porsche of Huntington won "Porsche Premier Dealer" awards, both for two consecutive years.
In 2001, Michael Brown went to work for Roger Penske and the Penske Automotive Group in Fairfield, CT. He was named the Regional Vice President after he transferred to oversee the Inskip Auto Mall in Rhode Island, directing day-to-day operations for the 10-franchise luxury auto mall. Inskip brands included BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Lexus, Infiniti, Volvo, Audi, Porsche, Bentley, Acura and Nissan. Inskip's annual revenue exceeded $450 million during Michael's time there and, he also directed Inskip's $75 million renovation project that included new facilities for all of the aforementioned brands. During his tenure at Inskip, Michael and his stores were the recipient of multiple accolades and factory awards, including the "BMW Circle of Excellence" (three consecutive years), "Porsche Premier Dealer," and "Audi Magna Society."
Michael Brown returned to Long Island and started with the Atlantic Auto Group/New York Auto Giant in April 2007 as Vice President of Operations, and has since introduced numerous successful systems and processes to all aspects of Atlantic's daily business. Despite his busy meeting and travel schedule and his responsibilities as a partner in the Atlantic Auto Group, Michael is known and loved among Atlantic's 2000+ employees for his open-door policy--always helpful and easily approachable--and for his down-to-earth personality. He served on the Huntington Hospital Board of Trustees and its Audit and Compliance Committee for seven years and has been honored by such organizations as Big Brothers and Sisters, the Diocese of Rockville Centre's Telecare operation, and many similar worthy causes. Michael lives with his wife and three daughters in their home in the Town of Huntington. In addition to the time he spends supporting family activities, he still is very much involved with sports, especially martial arts.
Tom Lederer came to the Atlantic Auto Group in January 2013 after more than a decade with the Long Island Auto Group. LIAG has Land Rover, Jaguar, Volvo, Acura and Honda stores in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. As Chief Information Officer for LIAG, Tom oversaw IT and DMS processes, audit and compliance, digital marketing, and business development.
Before coming to LIAG, Tom had been Vice President of Sportique Jaguar Porsche where he had worked for Michael Brown and his father Eliot Brown. Tom's responsibilities at Sportique ranged from construction projects to producing television commercials to overseeing fixed operations. He was also instrumental in Sportique's acquisition of the Porsche franchise and was active in promoting racing and motor sport activities. Tom worked in pit crews in IMSA and SCCA racing competition. He was also race director for the Sportique Five-Mile Foot Race back in the 1980's, and more recently worked with the Huntington Townwide Fund to perpetuate its Thanksgiving foot race.
Tom holds an undergraduate degree in journalism and a master's degree in theology. He also attended Northwood University where he studied automotive financial management. He worked as a correspondent for the New York Times and received a Long Island Press Club award for an article he wrote about auto racing engineer Tony Cicale.
Trained in career counseling, Tom is a member of the American Counseling Association and the Society for Human Resource Management. He has served on the Huntington Hospital Board of Trustees since 1994 and is chairman of the HH Audit and Compliance Committee. He also serves on the North Shore LIJ Community Health Committee and was the first chairman of the Dolan Family Health Center Advisory Board.
As Atlantic's CIO, Tom oversees human resources and is involved with various IT and strategic planning projects. But similar to his job descriptions at Sportique and LIAG, Tom is willing to take on whatever is necessary to benefit the company and its employees.
Jeff holds 29 years of experience in the automotive industry, 19 of which he has been with the Atlantic Auto Group. Jeff has held multiple positions within the company starting out as a salesperson with Lexus. At that time, he was the # 1 salesperson and is Master Lexus Certified. Jeff was promoted to sales manager and has also been a finance manager and finance director for our group. He has worked with Lexus of Massapequa, Lexus of Rockville Centre and Westbury Toyota.
Jeff is NADA certified and has travelled the country to master state of the art training techniques offered by some of the industry's best speakers like Joe Verde and Zig Ziegler to name a few. He has taken what he has learned and created and teaches an innovative and engaging sales training program like no other in this industry.
After receiving a B.S. in political science from Hunter College in New York City, Toni Anne decided to remain in the automotive industry. She started as a receptionist fifteen years ago with the Bay Ridge Automotive Management Group. Within 3 months, she was offered a full time position in their business development department and shortly thereafter was offered a position to manage the business development and internet departments for Bay Ridge Toyota.
Toni Anne remained with the Toyota franchise and came to work for the Atlantic Automotive Group, also known as the NY Auto Giant in 2008 at Toyota of Huntington where she received numerous customer relations awards and certifications from Toyota Motor Sales and ran one of Atlantic Auto Group's group's most successful business development departments.
In February of 2011, she was offered the director position with Atlantic Auto Group and has since increased group wide production in this area tremendously. Toni Anne's daily responsibilities include digital marketing for the group which currently consists of 22 stores located on Long Island in New York, creating, maintaining and measuring the internet and business development processes for all stores on behalf of the partners, developing and maintaining the new hire and interview process for all appointment coordinators and business development managers, as well as teaching ongoing and consistent internal training courses for the Atlantic Automotive Group on topics including phone up process, internet phone and email process, email etiquette, leadership and others. Toni Anne often says, "I have been asked by many people how I make it work?balancing all these stores and my family, especially being a woman in this business and a mom. I have two children, a 4 ½ year old and a one year old, which is a full time job in itself, as all the parents out there know! To me, the answer is simple really. It's all about the people that you surround yourself with. Find the right people, offer the right training and coaching and keep that up, don't just do it at hire and forget about that or them. If you do that and lead by example, the rest of it falls into place and you just have to maintain it. I have 19 BDC managers and 68 appointment coordinators. I credit my people with all our success, not myself, and while I hold them accountable, I will always, always let them know how great of a job they do and how much I appreciate the hard work and effort they put into the success of the Atlantic Automotive Group. I am truly blessed and I never forget that and I absolutely never forget where I came from."
Rick Alessi has been a part of the Staluppi Organization for 29 years. He has worked with each department throughout that time, ultimately to accept the General Manager position at Lexus of Rockville Centre in 2004. He is currently the General Manager at Atlantic Honda.
In always helping to better our organization, Rick has been the General Manager at one of Hyundai stores, as well. His goal has always been to assist customers with the purchase and service of their vehicles while always aiming to achieve 100% Customer Satisfaction, and also promoting team work through his work ethic and willingness to always assist any and all departments within the Atlantic Auto Group.
Additionally, his efforts made Atlantic Honda the #1 Honda dealer in the country in October 2010, and the store has been awarded the Council of Excellence award, one of Honda's most prestigious awards three years in a row.
Ronnie's start in the automobile industry began as an Automotive and Diesel technician. He then moved into the sales end of the industry as a sales trainee at Westbury Toyota in 1995. He then progressed to Floor manager and Sales manager. He moved to Queens Nissan as General Sales manager in 1998 and moved into the General Manager position in 1999. In 2002, he made the move to Suffolk County as a used car manager at Atlantic Chevrolet and Cadillac. In a very short period of time, his work ethic was second to none, and he was promoted to General Manager in the latter part of 2002 and has been with Atlantic Chevrolet & Cadillac ever since.
The Team at Atlantic Chevrolet Cadillac is a leader in Sales and Service Volume as well as Customer Satisfaction. Atlantic Chevrolet & Cadillac is also the proud recipient of the prestigious General Motors Dealer of the Year award for 2011 and The Mark of Excellence awards from 2007 to present respectfully.
Keith is a graduate of the National Automobile Dealers Association Dealer Academy and has 14 years automotive high line experience.
From 1998-2000, he was employed with Sportique Motors as a Sales Consultant and Internet Manager for their Jaguar & Porsche franchises.
From 2000-2008, Keith was employed with Penske Automotive Group and gradually moved up the ladder as he held the titles and responsibilities of Internet Manager for Audi, Mercedes, VW, and Porsche, Finance Manager at Mercedes Benz of Fairfield, Sales Manager at Inskip BMW, and General Manager at Inskip Infiniti where he achieved an Infiniti Dealer Award. Keith then accepted the General Manager position at Inskip BMW and Mini where he also achieved the BMW Center of Excellence award.
Keith has been employed with the Atlantic Auto Group since 2008 as the General Manager of Lexus of Rockville Centre. During Keith's time there, Lexus of Rockville Centre has received recognition of Lexus Elite Status for 4 Consecutive Years, and has also been on the Lexus Top 10 Volume Dealer list.

12 years in the automotive business, Justin started in 1999 as an intern for the Penske Automotive Group at the age of 18. After graduating from Georgetown University, he was a sales consultant in 2003 for Inskip Infiniti in Rhode Island. From then to 2007, he moved up from sales to internet manager to finance manager to sales manager. In July 2007, Justin was offered the opportunity to be the pre-owned manager for Lexus of Rockville Centre. He was then promoted to General Manager of Atlantic Audi in September 2009.
Since then the team that was put together has become the Tri State Areas only Google 5 Star rated 2 time Magna award winning Audi retailer.
When the NY Auto Giant bought Anchor Audi and renamed it Audi Lynbrook in 2013, Justin was asked to head up the new Audi team there.
Peter has 23 years experience in the automotive industry. Peter joined us from the Penske Automotive Group in April of 2010 as our Director of Fixed Operations, and was initially offered the general manager position at Millennium Honda over a year ago. While in process of taking that store to the next level, he was transferred to help do the same at Atlantic Toyota, where he has succeeded since.
In that short period, he has already taken this store to the next level. Peter's experience revolves around being a complete advocate of the customer.
Jason has been in the automotive industry for eleven years. As one of our youngest General Managers, Jason started as a salesperson and was promoted to finance manager within fourteen months. Shortly thereafter he was again promoted to general manager at Westbury Nissan, and then general manager at Atlantic Nissan, where he has been for the last six years. In early 2012, Jason became the Millennium Hyundai general manager and in 2013 has become the General Manager for South Shore Hyundai. Jason is amongst our top five tenured General Manager's.
During Jason's career, Atlantic Nissan was the #1 Nissan store in the country in August, September and October of 2009, and since has been the # 2 Nissan store in the country year to date.
Thabiti Lee is the General Manager of our Toyota of Huntington location. Thabiti graduated from Amityville High School as an All American track star in 2003. He enrolled and started at Farmingdale University earning an associate's degree in business administration in 2005. Part of the business administration program Thabiti was enrolled in had a focus on automotive and it sparked his attention. Upon earning his associates degree, Thabiti began work with our Atlantic Toyota location in Amityville in 2005 as a sales associate and Toyota product specialist. After a year and a half as a sales associate, Thabiti had a short stint as a finance manager before he was promoted to assistant used car manager at Atlantic Toyota.
In 2009, Thabiti was transferred to the Toyota of Huntington location and in July 2009 he was offered a sales manager position there. By 2012, Thabiti had been promoted to the general sales manager position and in July 2013, Michael Brown and John Pickett, the company partners offered Thabiti the opportunity to oversee all of Toyota of Huntington's daily operations as the general manager. Toyota of Huntington went on to receive the President's Award, one of Toyota Motor Sales' most prestigious awards for the 2013 year. Thabiti and his team have contributed and continue to contribute to many local business causes and charitable events, such as local pet adoptions, local races and walks, Huntington Matters (an organization dedicated to building a safe and healthy community in Huntington),as well as support of the local Walt Whitman and Huntington high schools.
When asked how Thabiti leads his team, his answer is simple. "I lead by example, and I feel because so many of my team watched as I came up the ranks, they know that I am in it with them. I accept both successes and failures as part of the team, because that is what I am."
Thabiti has 3 children, one boy and two little girls, ages 8, 5, 3 and lives in North Babylon with his wife and children. He enjoys swimming, football, basketball and soccer.
Michael was a manager in the Staluppi Auto Group since November 1995. He has held the position of general manager for the past ten years, three at Atlantic Nissan and the past seven at Millennium Toyota-Scion. During his time at Atlantic Nissan it was the Number one volume store in the Northeast Region all three years and the number three volume Nissan dealer in the country.
At Millennium Toyota-Scion we have been the number 1 volume dealer in New York all of his seven years and have won two of Toyota's most prestigious awards; Toyota President's Award and Board of Governors Award multiple years.
Michael's main focus is achieving high volume sales at the highest level of customer treatment and handling with emphasis on training and developing the most professional associates in the automotive industry.
Anthony is a graduate of Mercy College with a degree in Business Administration.
Anthony brings 30 years of automotive experience as a Finance Manager, Sales Manager, and General Manager. His success has led him to remain with the Atlantic Auto Group for 24 years.
Anthony's Core philosophy that he attributes to his success: "Treat each customer as we would a guest in our home."

Dan has been employed with Atlantic Auto Group since the age of sixteen. After learning the ropes at the Atlantic Auto Mall, he spent four years at SUNY Albany earning a bachelor degree in communications. He has since worked for the organization as a finance manager, used car manager, and new car sales manager. Dan has been at Advantage Hyundai since 2008, and has since taken the store from 117th to 6th place nationally in sales.
He prides himself on a running a dealership that not only focuses on customer satisfaction, but high employee morale. Advantage Hyundai relies heavily on referrals and business from the local community, and Dan Jr. isn't afraid to think outside the box to make our guests happy.
Ravel E. Mejia has been in the car business for 11 years. He began his career as a sales person at Millennium Toyota in Hempstead. A short while after joining the sales team, Ravel excelled as one of the top producers in the dealership. His work ethic and dedication made him stand out as a prospect for a sales manager position that was about to become available. Eight months after selling his first car as a sales consultant, he was promoted to a sales manager. As part of the sales management team the dealership went on to sell 500 new cars and 150 pre owned. A year later he was transferred to Atlantic Honda as the General Sales Manager, a position that is just second to the general manager, and includes supervising the entire sales process including all sales managers under the GM direction. After eight years of hard work, it became evident that he was capable and was given an opportunity to head Millennium Honda as the General Manager. His first month at Millennium Honda the dealership broke its own 20 year record selling 457 new and pre-owned vehicles. He and his sales team worked hard to build a dealership that prides itself in being one of the friendliest dealerships in Nassau County. The sales and finance team take an fun loving approach to selling cars. Soon after his arrival at Millennium Honda, the dealership experienced an unprecedented growth in volume. Ravel understands that the customer is the most important part of the equation and runs his dealership accordingly.
