Level 1:

Students enroll in the contest by doing the following:
Students are required to submit a 2 minute video submission on why "No Texting While Driving" is important to them. The title of the submission should have the name of the contest, your name and high school. Example: "iDrive: John Doe - John J. High school." The video can be recorded with a camera phone, tablet or video camera. Then simply upload that video to YouTube. Once video is uploaded to YouTube, copy & paste a link of your video to our official Facebook page as your submission.

The official page is Facebook.com/nyautogiant.

Once the video is on our wall, then students will have to engage other students and peers to leave supporting comments for their video. Students must also use our designated hashtags:

#idrivenotexting
#nyautogiant
#industrymuscle

when posting their links on FB, twitter or Instagram. Enrollment starts September 19, 2014 and ends December 15, 2014.

Level 2:

Choosing "No Texting Brand Ambassadors":
The Selection process begins Jan. 5, 2015 and ends Feb. 10, 2015. One student from each school will be chosen to be that school's ambassador from their video submission. The selected student's name and school will be placed on the NY Auto Giant's official Facebook page.

Once chosen the student ambassadors at this level will have to directly involve their peers and students to make a pledge to NOT TEXT AND DRIVE. The pledge has to be creative. For example: Getting a student to sign a pledge on video or in photos are okay, but getting a student to express why No Texting is Not cool on video is even better and more impactful. We want to see some creative ideas from our Ambassadors. Students can submit video or photos or both from level 2. Then simply upload that video to YouTube. Once the video is uploaded to YouTube, copy & paste a link of your video to our official Facebook page as your submission. The official page is www.Facebook.com/nyautogiant. The video must be titled appropriately as described in level 1. Once again, this can be filmed on a camera phone, tablet or video camera. Student's efforts will be monitored and Judged on:

Context of the pledge
Sincerity
Amount of pledges posted

Students will film and post their pledges between February 15, 2015 through March 20, 2015.

Level 3:

Commercial idea submission:
Ambassadors will also be responsible for submitting a commercial idea for a (PSA) public service announcement. The commercial idea must incorporate:

A minimum of two students
A cell phone
A car

Ambassadors will have from anytime between March 25th, 2015 and April 30th, 2015 to create and submit their commercial idea. We will collect each student ambassador's commercial idea for review. Feedback will be given then each student will have to come in and pitch their commercial idea to the iDrive Team in a roundtable. The pitch and selection will take place anytime between May 5th, 2015 and May 12, 2015. Location will be NYAUTOGIANT MAIN OFFICES.

We had a busy month in October and November. I would like to thank all the High schools such as Wyandanch, Freeport, Shoreham-wading River, Newfeild and Central Islip. Thanks for let us share our message of No Texting and Driving to over 6,500 Students. We are also proud to announce last years winner of our 2013-2014 of our first scholarship worth $9,999.00 toward college. Laura Villatoro of Brentwood High School chose the Money over the new car on graduation day. Our program hit a landmark by being featured on Nbc4, News1Fios,1010wins and 77WALK/ABC that gave us coverage on our media day. In everything we do we always appreciate our Key Sponsor Ny Auto Giant for allowing us to spread this wonderful message and build awareness among all the Longisland communities.
